EARLY SEASON START & 300KM EXPLOSION IN ALPS<\/h2>\n

The current season in the Alps has got off to an incredible start. We’ve already witnessed the longest February flight<\/a>, the earliest 200km FAI<\/a>, and the earliest 300km triangle<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But the crowning jewel came at the turn of April and May. Alpine weather from April 28th to May 2nd<\/b> triggered an unprecedented boom of 300km+ flights.<\/p>\n

During these four days, 78 pilots completed 88 flights exceeding 300km<\/b>!<\/p>\n

The crown for the longest closed triangle on a paraglider now belongs to Roger Aeschbacher<\/b> (Switzerland) – an impressive 369km<\/b> on May 1st, launching from Riederalp<\/b> in Wallis. Also ladies pushed the boundaries of what’s possible – the longest closed triangle flight by a woman is now 325km<\/b><\/a> long (by Serena Ronchi<\/b>).<\/p>\n

We witnessed a free flight exceeding 407km, 11 free triangles over 350km, and 12 FAI triangles over 300km (with a maximum of 332km from Zillertal and Antholz). Riederalp<\/b> was by far the hottest spot during these four days, with 75 flights over 300km starting from the site.<\/p>\n

The absolute highlight was May 1st<\/a><\/b>, a public holiday in many European countries, which saw the longest free flight, free triangle, and FAI triangle, along with 43 flights over 300km and nearly 7000 flights uploaded in total.<\/p>\n

D\u00c9BUT DE SAISON PR\u00c9COCE ET EXPLOSION DE 300 KM DANS LES ALPES
La saison actuelle dans les Alpes a connu un d\u00e9but exceptionnel. On avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 vu le plus long vol en distance libre, le premier triangle FAI de 200 km et le premier triangle plat de 300 km jamais r\u00e9alis\u00e9s en f\u00e9vrier.<\/p>\n

La cerise sur le g\u00e2teau est survenue entre la fin du mois d’avril et le d\u00e9but du mois de mai. Les conditions m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques dans les Alpes du 28 avril au 2 mai ont provoqu\u00e9 une explosion spectaculaire de vols d\u00e9passant les 300 km.<\/p>\n

Durant ces quatre jours, 78 pilotes ont r\u00e9alis\u00e9 88 vols de plus de 300 km !<\/p>\n

Le record du plus long triangle plat en parapente revient d\u00e9sormais \u00e0 Roger Aeschbacher (Suisse) : un impressionnant vol de 369 km le 1er mai, au d\u00e9part de Riederalp, dans le Valais. Les femmes ont \u00e9galement repouss\u00e9 les limites du possible : le plus long vol en triangle plat r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par une femme (Serena Ronchi) mesure 325 km .<\/p>\n

On a comptabilis\u00e9 un vol en Distance libre de plus de 407 km, 11 triangles plats de plus de 350 km et\u00a0 12 triangles FAI de plus de 300 km (avec un maximum de 332 km depuis Zillertal et Antholz).
