L’ASSOCIATION IMPULSE PROJECTS

Impulse Projects est né avec le projet « Rickshaw », l’association a vocation à réunir une communauté de curieux, de passionnés autour de problématiques liées aux transports à propulsion humaine, en Asie du Sud-Est et partout ailleurs.

OUR OBJECTIVES

IMPROVING THEIR EVERYDAY LIFE

In countries with energy dependency, it is necessary to sustain the use of human-powered transport. To do so, the first action is to improve the drivers’ working conditions. True to its conviction, Impulse Projects promotes innovative technical solutions that make the drivers’ job easier. The association relies on local partners, and acts on the dynamics of the social and solidarity economy.

MAKING LOW-TECH OUR PRIORITY

Contrary to high-tech, low-tech takes part in a universal solidarity of knowledge sharing . It promotes “primitive” technologies in order to be easily accessible to all, and improves significantly the daily life of millions of human beings.
Impulse Projects makes low-tech their priority in their projects. The association thus ensures that the technical innovations are affordable and easily replicable with the local resources in order to be accessible to the masses.

PROMOTING DIY

Convinced that the DIY community is an inexhaustible strength, Impulse Projects relies on the collaborative participation to carry out their actions.
First, the association involves the rickshaw drivers and analyses their needs.
Then, they invite professional specialists and enlightened amateurs to work with them and the user on innovative technical solutions to meet these needs.
Finally, they request companies, craftsmen and local NGOs working locally to produce and implement the innovative technical solutions.
